In the previous post (which you can read here), I suggested making joint resolutions with your spouse for the new year.  In order to spur some thoughts toward that, here are some things you might want to do more of in 2015:

  • Demonstrate the love that I say I have for God by how I treat my spouse more.
  • Forgive each other more.
  • Kiss passionately more.
  • Put my spouse first more.
  • Dream together more.
  • Hold hands more.
  • Laugh together more.
  • Express gratitude to my spouse more.
  • Take walks together more.
  • Share my fears with my spouse more.
  • Cry together more.
  • Pray together more.
  • Exercise together more.
  • Praise my spouse in front of others more.
  • Listen more.
  • Worship together more.
  • Look into each other’s eyes more.
  • Have sex more.
  • Read God's Word together more.
  • Share meals together more.
  • Go on date nights more.
  • Talk about the good times you’ve shared together more.
  • Find pleasant ways to surprise each other more.
  • Together, serve others more.
  • Thank God for my marriage more.

Please understand the point of this post is not to overwhelm you with what might need to be changed.  Rather it is to prompt us to be more intentional in doing positive things in our marriages in the coming year.  I don’t know what you need more of, but find at least a few ways to help your marriage to be more and to do more for your spouse and for the Kingdom of God in 2015.
